Your financial support helps us continue and expand our work promoting business in our district! BABA is a not for profit mutual benefit corporation (EIN # 80-0597858).

Member Benefits:

  • Monthly Board Meetings. We provide a regular time to gather information from other area businesses, city officials, police, and guests in order to ensure the Belmont district is a great place for your business to thrive.
  • Safety. We coordinate with police and crime prevention specialists from the Office of Neighborhood Involvement to ensure our district is a safe destination.
  • Branding and Promotion Projects. Banners, Walking Maps and a new Website. All made possible by grants from Venture Portland and the hard work of BABA volunteers.
  • Make Your Voice Public. We work with city officials on issues such as signage, zoning, parking meters, traffic, advocacy, etc.
  • Mixers. Networking events to promote your business.
  • Belmont Street Fair – Held every Second Saturday of September
  • Listing on the Belmont District Walking Map.  All members have the option of being listed at no additional charge on the annual walking map distributed throughout the district and at tourist locations.
  • BABA website and a Facebook page. We promote your business in every way possible!
  • List-serve. We connect you to your business neighbors through e-mail contacts and keep you informed of important and fun events in our district, and citywide. belmontareabusiness-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
  • Area banners and public art. We assist in beautifying our district and building an easy to distinguish district brand
  • Membership in Venture Portland. We help to promote the Belmont district through a city-wide coalition of business associations.
  • Grants. We work on accessing public funds through sources like Venture Portland and SE Uplift to assist with storefront upgrades, area improvements, neighborhood events and sponsor projects.
  • Community Involvement. We want your ideas and feedback! Join the BABA board and lend your voice in support of our growing community!
