The Buckman Community Association (BCA) exists to promote neighborhood livability within the association boundaries, and to assist the people that live and work here with the public challenges they may have. The BCA has a 9-member Board of Directors. Elections to the Board are in May. The directors serve two year terms.

BCA meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month. The Board meets from 6:30 to 7:00PM and the General Meeting runs from 7:00 to 9:00pm. Both meetings are open to the public and are held in the library in Central Catholic High School, located at 2401 SE Stark Street. Please check the BCA website in case meeting time or location changes. You can also find information on the Buckman Historic Association and the Buckman Sustainability Committee.

Mt. Tabor

Board and General meetings take place at Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church (at 55th and Belmont; parking and entrance on 54th) from 7:00 PM-8:30 PM, on the third Wednesday of the month. (No meeting in December) Meetings are handicapped- accessible and open to the public. Membership is open to any person who resides, owns property, maintains a business or is a designated representative of each non-profit organization located within the defined area.
Boundaries of Mt. Tabor are:

Southern boundary: SE Division Street
Eastern boundary: SE 76th Avenue
Northern Boundary: Burnside Street
Western Boundary: SE 49th Avenue (from Burnside to Hawthorne) and SE 50th Avenue (from Hawthorne to Division)

Helping connect Neighbors through events and information in the Sunnyside Neighborhood. SNA meetings are held at Southeast Uplift Neighborhood Coalition office at 3534 SE Main Street.

Our General, Board and Crime Prevention Committee meetings meet the second Thursday of the month, with Crime Prevention at 6:30 p.m., followed by the General meeting at 7 p.m. and the Board meeting at 8 p.m.As always, generous neighborhood restaurants provide tasty treats at our General meetings.
